North Veluwe

The Veluwe is a forest-rich ridge of hills in the province of Gelderland in the Netherlands. The Veluwe features many different landscapes, including woodland, heath, some small lakes and Europe's largest sand drifts.

Noord Veluws Museum
The Noord-Veluws Museum is primarily an art museum that shows work by Northern Veluwe artists. The museum does not limit itself to providing information about the paintings, but links stories to it. Stories of the painters and residents of this part of the Veluwe who lived and worked here from 1880 to 1950. The museum offers visitors a hospitable and inspiring environment.

The Hidden Village
Discover the story and see where the residents of Verscholen Dorp took shelter from Germans during the war in the Hidden Village. The hideout was discovered in 1944 and fortunately many people were able to escape. Three huts have been simulated again in the woods and is now a museum where many stories have been preserved

Wildlife spotting in the Veluwe - Hemellootjes Around De Veluwe;
When spotting wildlife in Hoge Veluwe National Park, there is often referred to ‘The Big Four’. They are red deer, roe deer, moufflons and wild boar. Roe deer have the highest number in the park, followed by moufflons, red deers and wild boars.
